What happens when music meets painting?

For one evening, the Mall Galleries becomes more than a gallery and more than a concert hall. Surrounded by contemporary paintings, music is experienced differently, with colour, light and space becoming part of the performance.

Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto begins with a single voice. We are delighted to welcome back Isaac Williams, reuniting with LEO for the concerto that marked his debut with us. Soloist and orchestra revisit one of the most compelling works in the violin repertoire, where moments of intimate lyricism give way to breathtaking virtuosity.

The perspective then widens. Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” opens onto vast musical landscapes, drawing on memories of Europe and the excitement of America to create one of the defining orchestral works of the nineteenth century.
